Nana and the flower arranger

Nana and the flower arranger
At Luke’s Nana’s funeral Luke's older sister Emma, put beautiful white peas on the coffin.Luke mum put her nice looking seashells from the beach and put it on the coffin. His grandad put along some soft spoonbill feathers. Then he stepped back, took a spade and softly dropped a spadeful of soil and suddenly put the spade down on the ground. He didn’t do anything but stared at his Nana’s coffin and said goodbye for the last time.

Luke and his family walked out of the  graveyard and kept on staring at his Nana’s grave. His grandad said “Nana will be happy there”.
Then Luke and his family walked out of the graveyard.  He walked behind everyone else. He didn’t think that his Nana will be very happy in her coffin. Luke didn’t say a word and just left staring at her grave.

In Nana and Grandpa's house,  thousands of people were eating and drinking and telling other relatives stories about Nana.Luke went out to the frontyard to think of a story about Nana but he didn’t have any  story to tell about his Nanna.  He was confused.  His mum gave Luke a chocolate biscuit and he  took a bite.  He said yuck!.  Luke’s tears and the chocolate mixed and tasted yuck. He stayed outside playing and singing. His tried to call his Nana’s silly magpie but it didn’t want to be bother. His dad called him to come in.”I don’t want to”He said.”Why don’t you want to come in”His dad replied.”I don’t have a story to tell about Nana’s long life”.He kicked a stone.”Does it matter”His dad said.”Yes it does”Luke said. After that his mum came and told  his dad to leave him alone.

Tui's Report

Rendered Image
Tui’s are a native bird to New Zealand. They like to nest in fruiting trees. Tui’s are small and have a little white ball at the bottom of their chin. They have blue and brown wings and are nearly black. They like to eat nectar, fruits and other food.

Tui’s like to nest in fruiting trees. Tui’s are most likely to be found in the North,South and Stewart islands. They’ve also been found in the Southern Alps,Kermadec and the Auckland islands. There is also a tree called a Parapara trees. They can be found in the three kings,Hen island and Chicken island. Parapara trees are also known as the deadly bird catching tree.

Tui’s have blue, brown and turquoise feathers. When tui’s are born they are black, white and have a yellow beak. Tui’s make sounds like clicks, groans and wheezing.

Tui’s eat nectar fruit, insects, native kowhai, puriri, kahikatea, New Zealand, Kaka beak, rewa rewa, rata, pohutukawa, strawberry trees, banksia, flowering cherries and bottle brushes.
Tui’s predators are Possums, Feral cat, Stoats, Ferrets and people destroying their habitat. These predators eat Tui’s and their eggs.  If we keep on chopping down trees we could wipe out all of New Zealand's native birds.
So in conclusion we should take more care of our native birds and their habitat. If we lose this species we might not have native birds forever. I think the government should spend more money to take care of our native birds habitats.

Phillipine

Philippines Moment in time
In the image i see Women selling and buying fruits and vegetables.

I see there wrinkly old skin. She had a pink and white t shirt with a brown skirt.I see a dark green juicy cabbage.I see tables in a straight line for people to go and buy the products.I see nicely packed oranges as if it was packed by a butler.People on the left side looked like they were the sellers and people on the right side looked like they were the customers.I see yum juicy oranges and on the side I see a green clean cabbage.

I see the wooden houses in the background.Everyone in the crowd is looking at the fruits and veggies. The packed oranges were as straight as a ruler.A lady in the blue and white dress was holding as what i think meat.
